A Hull manufacturing business has cleaned up after finding a new home. Bio-D, which makes environmentally friendly cleaning products, has moved to new 32,000sqft unit on Marfleet Environmental Technology Park, which is owned by leading commercial developer the Horncastle Group PLC. The move has enabled Bio-D to double its factory space to meet current demand and to accommodate future growth. Hundreds of new jobs could be created in Hull after leading commercial developer the Horncastle Group PLC acquired a prime industrial site in the east of the city. The business, based on Green Park, Newport, now intends to turn Kingston Parklands – the former Hedon Road maternity hospital – into a world-class industrial and manufacturing hub. A major refurbishment project has got underway to modernise a Hull boxing gym that played an integral role in Luke Campbell’s Olympic success. It was a very special day for our Chairman, Andrew Horncastle, today as he received his MBE for services to charity and business in the community in East Yorkshire from Her Majesty, The Queen. The investiture was held at Buckingham Palace this morning and it was a very proud moment for Andrew and his family. We are all immensely proud of Andrew and all the good work he does in the region.
