Green Park Wind Turbine is now in place at Newport
THE latest installation at one of East Yorkshire’s newest business parks is helping the development live up to its name. A 78m wind turbine now towers over Green Park, an eco-friendly business park between North Cave and Newport, being built by well-known developer Horncastle Group PLC. The 500KW turbine, which has been supplied by Emergya Wind Technologies (EWT) UK Ltd, stands 50m to the hub and a further 28m to the tip of the blades. Wind Turbine update – 08.09.15
Preparations for the arrival of the wind turbine are progressing well. The foundation has been completed, the sub-station has been construction and work is currently ongoing fitting the equipment inside and layout the pad for the crane. Works are on schedule for the turbine to be operational by the end of October. Wind Turbine Training Day
Many people would be surprised at the level of technology contained in the design and operation of a wind turbine. On 12th August, our Andrew Horncastle and David Watson attended an operator training workshop in Beverley with wind turbine manufacturer EWT. The purpose of the day was to thoroughly go through the design and components forming the turbine and the operation of the machine once in place. The PR Company become the first occupiers at Green Park, Newport
After nearly 20 years at Hesslewood Hall, The PR Company have purchased an Eco 45 office and have re-located to 2 Innovation Drive, Newport at the end of July. Managing Director, Nick Glaves, said: “We've enjoyed our time at Hesslewood (especially the views) but the chance to actually own an office rather than rent was too good to pass up. Piling commences for Wind Turbine at Newport
On Wednesday 12th August, a piling rig arrived on site ready to commence the installation of 22no 9m piles to form the base of the foundation for the Wind Turbine which will produce green energy at Green Park. The Beacon skyline changes again
Horncastle Group are well underway with the final office building at The Beacon, Hull and the steel frame is now complete. With completion set for November 2015, more Grade A office space will soon be available with options from 3,300sqft to 10,463sqft over three floors. Horncastle Group supports The Prince’s Trust Humber Futures Event
The Prince’s Trust does fantastic work supporting young people in the Humber region and both Horncastle Group and The WA Horncastle Charitable Trust recognise this, working with their local team whenever possible.
