New school opens on Brough South Development

Hunsley Primary - a new primary school on the £200m Brough South development - has been completed and opened in December 2018. Hunsley Primary sits on a 1.4ha site in the mixed residential, retail, leisure and commercial scheme, currently being built in the east of the town on the south side of the Hull to Selby railway track. Barratt Homes named as first House Builder at Brough South

BARRATT Homes Yorkshire East is to build 200 new houses in Brough in partnership with the Brough South Consortium. Phase 2 of Brough Relief Road Completed

Construction work on the second phase of Brough Relief Road has been completed by East Riding of Yorkshire Council. The work extends the relief road and provides a link to the £200m Brough South development on the south of the railway line, enabling construction work on the scheme to progress to the next phase. A Reserved Matters Planning application has been approved to build the first phase of residential properties at the Brough South development. Barratt Homes Yorkshire East was granted consent in respect of the first 200 homes to be built at the development, by East Riding of Yorkshire Council earlier this month. Work Commences on Brough Relief Road

CONSTRUCTION work on phase two of the Brough Relief Road has commenced this week. South Hunsley School & Sixth Form College is in the final stages of submitting an application to the Department of Education for a new primary school that will be built as part of the new Brough South housing development. A public drop-in session is being held on Tuesday 4th December 2012 between 4.30 p.m. and 7.30 p.m. in the Brough Community Centre for anybody interested in finding out more about the application for Hunsley Primary School.

During the course of the initial consultation process for the proposed Brough South development, the Highways Agency and ERYC identified the need to improve the capacity of the junction on the A63.
