Residents living in areas close by to a planned £100million development in the East Riding will have a chance to see the latest plans as the outline planning application is submitted this week. The plans for the Brough South development, which include new homes, retail, leisure, business space, office and health facilities, will be submitted to East Riding of Yorkshire Council this week. Information regarding the proposals is to be shared with residents in Brough, Elloughton, South Cave, North Cave, North Ferriby, Brantingham, Ellerker, Melton and Welton as 18,000 leaflets are distributed across the areas. Major new scheme launched in Brough

A 100-acre site at the heart of Brough will be transformed to create new jobs, housing and vital community services for local people. Plans have been announced as part of an existing new mixed-use development, which will create 550 permanent new jobs for local people and more than £100m of private sector investment. The construction phase will also create an additional 150 jobs and the scheme will have major knock on benefits for other local and regional businesses as well as seeing the development of 850 new homes.
