It’s the 1st anniversary of the opening of the popular Red Sail’s pub and restaurant at The Beacon in Hull!
As part of its 1st birthday celebrations, the pub will have a host of promotions, events and offers from Monday 15th – Saturday 20th September 2014, and will be raising money throughout the week for local charity Cash for Kids.
Cash for Kids is the official charity of 96.9 Viking FM and Magic 1161 and its mission is to respond to the needs of children in East Yorkshire and Lincolnshire. The charity has raised millions of pounds to help deprived local children and is unique in supporting individual children, children’s hospices and other charities and community groups. Last year was the charity’s most successful year raising £850,000 and helping more than 15,000 sick and deprived local children.
The pub will be hosting a charity quiz night on Wednesday 17th September with Viking FM’s Steven Jordan in aid of Cash for Kids. The quiz night is £10 for a team of 4+ and includes a free carvery bap and roast potatoes for every entrant. There is also a chance to win a gallon of beer! All the proceeds to the night will go to Cash for Kids.
Developed and operated by Marston’s plc, The Red Sail’s was opened by managers Gavin and Vicky Thomson in 2013 and has since been extremely popular. Located on Beacon Way at the main arterial route into Hull, Clive Sullivan Way, it offers a great value and diverse menu including traditional carvery as well as other main dishes.
The pub is also well known for its “Kids Eat Free” offer which is available weekdays 3pm-7pm. Could it get any better? Yes…
The 1st anniversary week long celebrations will boast some amazing offers, including a free slice of birthday cake with any main meal on Tuesday 16th, 20% off the food bill on Thursday 18th, and Buy One Get One Free on giant puddings with any main meal, 12-5pm on Friday 19th September.
A Family Fun Day on Saturday 20th September will include a BBQ, Outdoor stage, 10+ live bands, Live street dance, Bouncy castles, Face painting and much more.
