Local Developers Play Vital Role in Olympic Training

Horncastle Group are doing their bit to support the UK Olympic effort by allowing the local Hammer Squad to practice their Olympic training in a vacant industrial unit at St John’s Business Park in Hull.   Unit Four at St John’s, located on Southcoates Lane off Hedon Road, is currently unoccupied so Hull’s Hammer Squad, who are busy training for both the 2012 and 2016 Olympics, have been given the opportunity to use the unit to train indoors on dark nights and when the weather is too cold and wet to practice outside. Practical completion achieved on all off site roads and infrastructure at Cottingham

Works began on site in May this year to construct infrastructure linking the existing Swift caravan manufacturing plant to the nearby A1079.  The works included upgrades to three off site junctions, the construction of a new roundabout on the A1079 and an internal access road to provide a new entrance to the factory site.  Horncastle became involved in plans for the development in 1999 and have provided project management to Swift since then to obtain all the consents and liaison with the authorities and local people.
