A planning application for a wind turbine to be erected at Green Park Business Park in Newport has been approved.
East Riding of Yorkshire Council granted permission for the 50 meter to hub/77 meter to tip wind turbine on the grounds the turbine will provide jobs for local people and generate renewable energy to potentially serve the business park, local businesses and surrounding areas.
The CGI below shows indicatively the location of the turbine in relation to the rest of the business park, which will become home to local companies with requirements for new ‘green’ buildings.
Green Park is a new ‘eco’ business park and a speculative development by the Horncastle Group, offering energy efficient business space of high quality at a low cost. The park is being part funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) and the first phase of development comprising 10 Eco Offices and an Eco Industrial 20 unit is due for completion in April 2015.
